I personally relished browsing this. I have to understand alot more about this matter. I'm admiring hard work you devoted your site, due to the fact it really is good place just where I am able to find lots of helpful information.

As a busy front line practitioner working in a custodial setting, disempowered by monitors, monitoring monitors and too much paper work - as I cannot envisage that I will be able to attend any London seminars about the Green Paper, I would really appreciate a bullet point version (interpretation) from Backstop.

Couldn't agree more but the real death of the YJB was brought about by it's parents, New Labour.

What they couldn't stand was people asking why society was such that it had to take so many young people into the system. Who would dare ask such questions to this creature? Unfortunately the knight in the guise of Rod Morgan was quickly slain. We all knew that the YJB was only about the pocess without ever asking why!

Hi Andrew,
Just read your comments and must say I feel better already ! Bring on the new year I say..I am myself away from the UK at the moment in Greece, not exactly hot and no three hour siestas ( I am running a call centre calling workers in Holland from here) but I do watch the news closely as I am a former Probation officer ( Fully signed up with Backstop) who has been worried about the cuts in terms of what to think about returning to work again in London.
Thanks for the positive views and lets see what happeans come January/Febuary next year.

Well done Malyssa!!
I can't believe you even thought about attempting such a challenge....there's no way I would have even considered starting it, lion wrestling would be more attractive.

You should feel very proud of yourself for getting as far as you did. Well done,

One of the blessings I had early in my life was having leadership positions in church, high school and college. When you are working with people in volunteer organizations, no one has to work for you. All you have is influence, and thanking and appreciating the people who do the work is essential in keeping a motivated organization.

I think this situation is very diffcult for both sides (police and the individual). The police do need to have a reason to stop someone and I would like to think they do not abuse this power. Equality legislation is there to protect the innocent individuals although I know we do have a long way to go including the police.

Hi Dwayne,
We've had a look at Capital Men's website: http://capitalmen.org/ which is currently under construction therefore no contact details, but if you bookmark the page it should be up and running soon with details of how to get involved.
Hope this helps.
