    HOW BACKSTOP IS DIFFERENT

Backstop is a recruitment and training agency which specialises only in criminal justice and is a well known supplier of temporary candidates to local authorities nationwide. Once we have examined your CV, our friendly consultancy team (many former practitioners themselves) will invite you for an interview to discuss your experience in the context of current opportunities in temporary work.

We focus on the best outcomes for vulnerable people and so will be evaluating your experience, presentation and practice on this as the most important amongst other criteria.

Backstop registered candidates have the following benefits:
    • Competitive rates of pay – and we usually pay one day early (does your agency do this?)
    • Full support service to help you through timesheets etc. with SMS reminders and telephone support.
    • Recommend a friend scheme – we reward you for helping us identify other good candidates
    • Holiday pay paid to you as you work or saved to pay out whenever you prefer
    • Easy to get to offices in Putney – or we will come out to you to register
    • Specialist contacts/specialist contracts
    • E mail & SMS text message job alerts.
    • Consultation and assistance with PQ training.
    • Paid CRB when working
    • Small team at your disposal, dedicated to furthering your career

“I have worked for many agencies over the years and I have to say that Backstop has been the best. Backstop is an agency with a difference because they don’t just see you as a locum but they see you as an individual who can develop in their career”
