Backstop, established in 2001, is a specialist recruitment and training agency. We service clients in Probation, Youth Justice, Youth Work, Substance Misuse and the Third Sector – indeed, any sector that deals with individuals vulnerable to involvement in the UK criminal justice system. We are now seeking a Candidate Control Assistant to provide an accurate, reliable and high standard of administration for our Compliance Department.
Your key duties will include assisting the Candidate Control Officer with taking applicants through our compliance process, making them compliant and keeping them compliant.
Some of your day-to-day duties will include:
• Processing registrants’ documents and obtaining all necessary documentation needed to ensure candidates are compliant within strict timescales.
• Inputting registrant data onto our database
• Answering and dealing with incoming calls
• Assisting the Candidate Control Officer with audit preparation
Your role will be crucial to the efficient running of the Compliance department and to succeed you need to have the ability to follow processes, be organised and have good communication and record-keeping skills.
In addition to this you will need to be proactive and tenacious with good decision making abilities and have experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience of administering a system where accurate information needs to be collected, stored and retrieved would be beneficial.
