The Backstop face to face screening interview
The purpose of this interview is to ensure that a temporary candidate’s experience matches up to their CV. They are asked 10 questions applicable to their area of criminal justice so we can test their knowledge. This enables us to find areas for development and discuss which area of practice for which they would be most suitable. For example temporary youth offending team staff are quizzed on their Children’s Act knowledge.

Identifying the right candidate for you
From the CV and interview process we are able to list a temporary candidate’s attributes so they are searchable from our database. Amongst Youth Justice locums for example, attributes may include court experience or work with substance misusers.

More importantly though due to our specialisation we have a “feel” for them and what they want and where they will excel. This means that when we receive your vacancy you can be sure that any candidate that we forward will match your team’s requirements
