On this course practitioners have the opportunity to explore  and rehearse how to:

  • Make improved assessment
  • Work with resistance
  • Develop desire to change

Catherine also provides advanced motivational interviewing for those who have attended the first day . By the end of a second course participants will be able to rehearse how to:

  • Make an assessment of level of motivation
  • Work with resistance
  • Develop discrepancy
  • Build confidence to change
  • Support change and relapse prevention
On the advanced course participants are provided with the opportunity to have a session videoed and received individualised feedback (it is also possible for participants to opt not to do this).
