Here at Backstop we see working with young men who sexually abuse as a key specialism in criminal justice. To date we feel that good awareness training has been available, however in the past we have received requests for training with more practical applications. That is why, in association with Pete Thomason, we set up the assessment and intervention course in 2004. Practitioners who completed this four day course have felt empowered to write reports and plan interventions with this often difficult client group

The course covers theory but places a special emphasis on bringing theory into practice and empowering participants to work effectively with this group. All course participants end the course with a full resource manual.
