Training Q & As
What is the cost?
We have guideline rates for each course however, we negotiate the cost with you depending on your training needs. It will depend on participant numbers, if you are booking more than one day, the notice period, the trainer’s experience and any special requirements you may have.
How do you ensure the quality of your trainers?
We do our best to seek out "best in field" trainers for all the criminal justice topic areas we cover. All of our trainers are quality checked through two references from two different organisations they have recently delivered training to, viewing material, comprehensive interview and seeing feedback from previous courses including all courses delivered through Backstop. In addition a Backstop staff member with appropriate background may attend a training course.
Who pays for the trainer’s accommodation, travel and venue?
The client. Travel is organised by the trainer and the client is invoiced. The venue and accommodation are arranged by the client.
How many people can attend the course?
It depends on the training course and can be negotiated. Generally 12-15 attendees.
Who do you contact for more information?
The Backstop Training Coordinator (Naomi) and later they will put you in touch with the trainer to discuss your training needs. Call on 020 8394 7629.
Do we get a contract?
Yes, an example copy is available on request.
Do you have public courses?
Not at the moment. We are currently only providing training and consultancy in-house to YOTs, consortia or other multi-agency groups.
