Backstop is committed to providing highly relevant and empowering consultancy and YOT training courses within the criminal justice field. Our aim is to promote excellent practice by carefully designing YOT training to meet your specialist needs, and where appropriate, to satisfy the Youth Justice Board’s Principles of Effective Practice and the Quality Assurance framework.

All our YOT training and criminal justice consultants are:
• assessed and screened by us and subject to ongoing course-by-course evaluation
• experts in their fields and bring a wealth of experience in their own specialism to their training
• skilled in the design and delivery of training and consultancy and share a commitment to our high standards of service.

How we deliver:
We provide training and consultancy in-house to YOTs, consortia or other multi-agency groups. This is very cost-effective, tailored to your specific requirements and allows greater individual attention. An initial consultation is free of charge.

All members of the Backstop training team have experience in Youth Offending Teams, Probation or Youth Work and so will have a full understanding of your training requirements.
