Safeguarding & Compliance+
Safeguarding is a speciality of Backstop, since we have experience in recruiting safe candidates for working with vulnerable adults and children for over 10 years. We have developed a safe registration and recruitment process, in which we make sure our candidates are fit and safe for our clients and can work there in accordance with safeguarding regulations.
For this process, we require all our candidates to visit us at our office in Putney to have a face- to- face interview. When you arrive, you will have a first interview with our compliance team, who will guide you through the process. They will ask you for:
- your application form
- proof of identity (like a passport and/or driving licence)
- proof of address (we require 2 proofs of address in accordance with DBS regulations)
- qualifications and certificates that are relevant for future placements
- proof of NI
- proof of eligibility to work in the UK (if applicable)
If you already have an in date DBS certificate, we are able to use this in the recruitment process. However, we will always need you to apply for a DBS through us as your employer. If you are on the DBS Update Service, we will only need a copy of your current DBS certificate.
If you have any questions regarding what you need to bring with you, please do not hesitate to contact your recruitment consultant or the compliance team!
Backstop is proud to be part of APSCo Compliance+!
