Backstop is currently seeking experienced, committed and skillful practice manager to work in the London Borough of Lambeth. This is a new post that has been created specifically to assist the case management and performance management function of the YOS.
The ideal candidate will evidence a robust background in overseeing and contributing to the delivery of youth offending team services.
Just some of the responsibilities of this exciting post:
To provide high quality performance and case level supervision and the annual appraisal of a number of staff.
Analysing and reporting on performance information and providing advice and support to the Senior Practice Managers.
Manage Case Officers & deliver intensive one-to-one and group work interventions, to young people involved in offending or anti-social behaviour and their parents/carers to a high standard.
Ensure that equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice is a priority throughout the service.
Design and deliver a range of interventions and programmes and work with victims. This includes being able to present information both educative and analytical information to a range of stakeholders.
Act as a link between the Youth Offending Service and local projects and providers and work on a range of issues which impact on young people’s life chances.
Participate in the planning and delivery of group work, co-work, family work and individual work with young offenders and their families and other at risk of becoming offenders.
Carry out office duty functions and late night managerial cover and participate in the Appropriate Adult duty rota if required.
