Backstop is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated specialist worker to work full time within a MASH/Early Help or an Early Intervention team based in Lewisham.
The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in MASH teams and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum specialist social worker job is up to £30 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
As qualified social worker the successful candidate will work alongside the Advanced Practitioners and Early Help Coordinators to analyse referrals received from MASH to ensure that the right service is offered to families at the right time to identify Early Help targeted support
Responsibilities of the specialist social worker:
Undertaking multi agency risk assessments
Ensuring that the panel preparation is quality assured to a high level.
Convening and chairing core group meetings
Attending team meetings
Work closely alongside team manager and advanced practitioner
Ensuring that an appropriate pathway is followed for ongoing intervention
Requirements of the specialist social worker:
Degree or equivalent in social work
Current HCPC registration
At least 3 years' solid experience within children's services
